Types of Surgical Procedures

We offer traditional open surgery, but we can also perform many procedures using minimally invasive techniques and with robotic assistance.

Minimally Invasive Surgery

Many of today’s surgeries can be performed using minimally invasive techniques. This involves making small incisions and then inserting surgical instruments and cameras into the incisions to help guide the surgeon. This type of surgery has numerous advantages over traditional open surgery. These include less pain, less blood loss, minimal scarring, shorter hospital stays and quicker recoveries.

Robotic Surgery

Robotic surgery helps surgeons perform procedures with greater precision and accuracy. The surgeon controls the robot through a computer, which has small tools attached to a robotic arm. At no time is the surgeon not in control of the procedure.

Individual results may vary. There are risks associated with any surgical procedure. Talk with your doctor about these risks to find out if robotic surgery or minimally invasive surgery are right for you.
