Treatment for Back and Spine Disorders
When back and spine disorders are slowing you down, Southwest Healthcare can help you return to an active lifestyle. Back and spine pain, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and herniated discs are just a few of the conditions we can treat.
Our spine specialists use various techniques, both surgical and nonsurgical, to relieve pain. We perform many minimally invasive surgical procedures. These can result in shorter hospital stays and quicker recovery time than traditional surgery — with less threat of pain.*

Spine Treatment Options
Southwest Healthcare offers many options for treating spine disorders.
Nonsurgical Treatments
Nerve blocks, steroid injections and disc decompression are nonsurgical treatments we use to help patients find relief from chronic, intense neck and back pain.
Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery
When surgery is required, it is performed using minimally invasive techniques whenever possible. We offer minimally invasive spinal procedures for discs, the neck and lower back, and also spinal fusion for the lumbar spine.
Lumbar Spinal Stenosis Surgery and Treatment
Spinal stenosis can cause pain in the lower back, buttocks, legs and feet. To help relieve the pain, we offer various treatment options including medication, physical therapy, surgery and lumbar traction.
Disc Surgery
A spinal nerve that is compressed or injured can cause pain in the neck and the mid and lower back. Surgery is needed when patients don’t respond to nonsurgical treatment methods.
Spinal Fusion Surgery
Spinal fusion is used for patients who have degenerative spinal disease. This procedure helps stabilize the vertebrae and alleviate severe, chronic back pain.
Scoliosis and Kyphosis Surgery
Scoliosis or kyphosis can cause back pain and can contribute to spinal stenosis. In these cases, spinal surgery can be performed to alleviate these symptoms. Spinal decompression and fusion is the most common surgical option for scoliosis.
